PRESS RELEASE July 1, 2006

Subject:
"Martin County Public Education - Making a Difference"

Nancy Kline, Martin County School Board member, District 4 and Marshall Skinner, Director of Vocational and Adult Training, will address the Democratic Women's Club of Martin County at the July 11th meeting of the Democratic Women's Club of Martin County at the Stuart Woman's Club, 729 East Ocean Blvd.

The two educators will discuss "Martin County Public Education - Making a Difference" and the many varied programs that are available to Martin County students. Nancy Kline will discuss programs available at the elementary to high school levels and give an overview of the Art Programs and its partnership with the Arts Council of Martin County. Kline is seeking re-election on the non-partisan School Board District 4 seat for the September 5th Primary Election.

Marshall Skinner will discuss the programs offered to Middle and High School students and the life long learning Adult Programs available throughout the county.         Additionally, since growth in our area is always of interest, a discussion of the new Middle School on Cove Road and the new proposed Elementary School in Palm City, along with the expectations and needs for new facilities in Indiantown based on the approved developments to date will be discussed.

Scholarship forms for the annual $1,000.00 award from the Democratic Women's Club of Florida, Inc. will be available for interested students. Applications are due by August 8th.

Meetings of the Democratic Women's Club of Martin County are free and open to the public. A social period with refreshments begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by the regular meeting and speakers at 6:00 p.m.
